Time does fly. And it flies fast.  We are in day 258 in the year 2014 calendar. All what I can say at this moment is “I am lucky to be where I am today, I am privileged to have what I have” thank God.  However, I still need to work on some aspects of my life and more importantly to keep up with my New Year’s Resolutions.

107 days remain until the New Year 2015 and as time passes, I began to realize that the previous 258-day journey has taught me so many valuable lessons.

It taught me to never trust anyone but myself and my own sense of what is right as this has been the best self-gudiance ever (in my humble opinion).

2660 To be patient as in life, there are many problems that cannot be solved overnight. Patience is a necessity.

To stay faithful and not be prudent to take  a leap in the dark. To not lower my expectations even if people around me tell me otherwise.

Change is always good, and from time to time, I need to tweak my lifestyles.

The first secret to happiness is to fall in love with yourself.

Good company is a key, because we become who we hang out with.

I never know what I have until I lose it, and once I lose it I can never get it back

I can start a revolution and most of the time I do not need the help from other people.

To laugh at myself and let little things go.

And finally to not underestimate myself.

                                                                           Have a lovely night everyone:)

Happy New (School) Year

School is here, the change from the routines of summer to a new schedule is often identifies as the cause of stress, anxiety and worries. Whether you have been away from school for a short period of time or for several years, you may experience these feeling during the first few days o school. It is unavoidable and I am sure that all the students out there can relate to that.

Returning students sometimes face the unknown and the unfamiliar. They may wonder if they will finish this time, how long it will take to finish and what lies at the end of the journey.

Here are some tips to ease Back to School Anxiety.  Eat well, drink water, exercise, breath deeply and don’t forget to set a positive, optimistic tone to help you get through the ups and downs of the daily life of school.

Good Luck :)

City I love

Vancouver, the beautiful city I fell in love with ♥

I enjoy every single scene of this laid-back city, the nightlife, ocean breeze, the snowy mountains and even the drunken beggars who fill the streets and shake their paper cups demanding money.

Vancouver, the grown-up city represents a buzzy cultural life and a cosmopolitan population that includes diverse ethnic mix from Asia, Africa, and Europe.

I don’t mind living here forever, home is where the heart is, and this lovely city not just have captured my heart but seduced my mind too.

XOXO

Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque

Lots of us have a thing called a “bucket list,” those experiences we wish to have before we pass on from this life. And I’m no different.

Few minutes past 5PM last 19 July, 2014, Saturday, I crossed off one dream that was on my bucket list: a visit to the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque in Abu Dhabi. It was a wonderful spiritual experience.

Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque was initiated by the late President of the United Arab Emirates Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan. It is one of Abu Dhabi’s top tourist attractions and the largest religious center in the United Arab Emirates and the 10th largest Mosque in the world.

This mosque is not just a place of tourism but primarily of worship and must be considered sacred at all times. The size of the Mosque is 22,000 square meters and has a capacity of 40,000 people to pray at once.

Dress codes must be observed. Long, loose fitting, ankle length trousers or skirts for women and men. Women must wear a headscarf. Footwear must be removed prior entering the main prayer hall.

I went there for Maghrib (sunset) prayer and stayed there till Isah (night-time) prayer. I wondered around and was stunned by the Islamic architecture, I was really mesmerized by its white and gold color design. While the prayer halls of the mosque are grand and luxurious, the corridors are simple and yet a treat to the eye.

Simply, it’s beyond beautiful.

Hope you will have the chance to visit it one day and see this one-of-a-kind place on Earth.

Peace!
